A seven (7) member board. Four (4) members are appointed due to their positions of responsibilities (Chief of Police, Sheriff, Monticello Fire Dept. Chief, and Director of EMS) The fifth member is appointed by the Judge/Executive, the sixth is appointed by the Mayor and the seventh member is appointed jointly by agreement of the Judge/Executive and the Mayor. Appointed members serve a four (4) year term.
